 Audrey Wilson has a passion for culinary art and community involvement, particularly involving children. Audrey is a food columnist, cooking instructor, and cookbook author. For the last three years, she has written a weekly column for the Hawai`i Tribune Herald and previously taught cooking at Ke Anuenue Area Health Center, Hilo Adult Education and several Big Island senior citizen centers. Audrey also spent four years teaching English as a volunteer in Lampang, Thailand.
When Audrey is not in the kitchen or the classroom, she spends her time volunteering for many local organizations. Audrey served as President of the Rotary Club of South Hilo from 1997-1998 and currently serves on its Board. She was also a past Rotary District 5000 Leadership Committee member, serving in various chair positions. Audrey is active with the Hospice of Hilo where she has been a board member since 2001 and Vice President Chair of Community Relations since 2005. She also currently serves on the Board of Directors for Hawaii Island United Way.
