Cheryl K. Hetherington was an attorney in private practice for ten years in Honolulu until she became a full-time mother and community volunteer in 1994. She currently sits on the Board of Directors of PBS Hawaii (Hawaii Public Television), chairing its Development Committee and sitting on its Executive Committee, along with being a member of the Nominating Committees for the YWCA of Honolulu and the Honolulu Academy of Arts Guild. Cheryl is also a member of the Hearings Committee of the Office of the Disciplinary Counsel for the State Hawaii and she will be the Parent Chair for the Punahou Carnival 2011. She is a past President of the Junior League of Honolulu (2002-2003), and the Punahou Parent Faculty Association (2008-2009). Cheryl has also served on the Board of the Honolulu Academy of Arts Guild, the YWCA of Honolulu and co-chaired Kama‚aina Christmas in 2006. She has worked on The Contemporary Museum’s annual fundraiser ConTempo for several years. Cheryl was born and raised in Honolulu and received her B.A. from the University of Washington and her J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of the Law.
